Join us on a guided day tour as we visit York, one of the largest medieval cities in all of Europe. Visit the amazing heritage buildings, and learn of the importance of York and its place in history! Did you know that it was once the capital of the north for the Romans and the Vikings?

We will visit the famous walled city center, which encloses narrow medieval streets. We will take a stroll down the Shambles, visit York Minster, Britain’s favorite cathedral, the Jorvik Viking Center, the National Railway Museum, Clifford’s Tower, and York’s Norman Castle, all of which have contributed to York’s rich heritage!

We will depart Cambridge at 8:00 am, and arrive in York at 11:15 am. We will then go on a 90 minute walking tour of the city walls and into the city – the best way to explore! Your guide will teach you the rich culture and history of York. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the medieval streets at your leisure. We will depart York at 5:15 pm and return to Cambridge at 8:30 pm.
