France and wine have been synonymous as long as anyone can remember. It is home to some of the most famous wineries and produces some of the top wines year in and year out. There are a million reasons why you should partake in a wine tasting tour during your travels in France. This is an experience not to miss out on!
This wine tour offers two options in order to better serve your schedule and preferences. You can either choose to visit some of France’s most famous wineries in the Le Var region, or take a tour of two local, family run wineries in Vence!
Option 1 : In Le Var region (Côte de Provence), 8-9 hours – 490 €
This tour is a fantastic opportunity to visit some famous wineries (we visit 4 or 5 different wineries) and have a wonderful wine tasting only 1h 30 from Nice. The Le Var regions is known as the Rosé wine area, the best in France. Even if you are not a “connoisseur,” you’ll enjoy this trip very much.
An optional cheese & wine tasting lunch in a local winery in La Londe (40 €/person) is a popular add-on for many. It can be combined with a visit of St Tropez, Bormes Les Mimosas and typical street markets. We can also visit other wineries where you can mountain bike through the vineyard or quad. Please ask for more details.
Option 2 : Around Vence, 5 hours – 340 €
This shorter tour takes you to two local family run wineries, where you get a different approach to wine making. Nestled in luxurious nature, you will love the tranquil, relaxed atmosphere. The entrance fees are 8 €/person at the first winery, 35 € 1-5 people and 9 €/person above 5 people at the second winery.
We will also visit a traditional organic goat cheese farm in the mountains, where you actually make your own cheese, learn about cheese making, cheese & wine tasting (all included in the fee). This is a really beautiful place off the beaten path, truly an authentic and unique experience!
Your adventure awaits!
France Prestige Tours
I was born and grew up in Provence. I've been a tour guide since 2005. I offer a wide choice of sightseeing tours all over the Riviera & Provence all year long. My best attributes are off the beaten track tours, excellent knowledge of this region (history, gastronomy & wine, amazing views, unknown typical villages), perfect English, photography (I'm a photographer), and the French way of living. For example, my guests can visit a French home, sit with locals and have a nice drink. I always want to meet my guests' needs and wishes. I adapt my tours accordingly and offer a new way to explore the South of France. There's nothing like a local to visit a country. Being a former teacher, I try my best to teach my guests something interesting and different. Make your stay a special and unforgettable experience!
