I have had three trips so far with BC Whale Watching Tours. The first trip in April I went with Cpt. Gord where we went up to Salt Spring Island and watched a pair of transient orcas, an experience I will never forget. The whole family was so impressed and we were so grateful. Even the ride home was a blast as the waves had increased in size and we had some spray in our faces. Then in June my daughter and I went with Cpt. Mike. Again the BC Whale Tours team were amazing. The boat left on time, we headed out and found a large pod of orcas doing what Cpt. Mike called the San Juan Shuffle, (basically the orcas were fishing between the San Juan Islands). The captains have so much respect for these beautiful mammals it’s wonderful to see. Their knowledge of oceans, geography and of course the animals is astounding. My most recent trip in August was again a huge success with Cpt. Jim. We found a huge pod of local orcas fishing and we just hung out snapping photos in awe of these magnificent creatures. The staff in the office were excellent and patient with all my questions as this was a bucket list item I wanted it to be perfect for the family. A big thank you to the whole team, the captains for finding whales each time, answering my questions about marine biology and sharing their local knowledge. Thank you I’m hooked! Tim, Melissa and Trinity West
