Trip Info

Pleasant Bay, Nova Scotia is known as the whale watching capital of Cape Breton, offering visitors a unique, up close encounter.  A walk around the harbor will reveal why this village is named Pleasant Bay. It’s a nature lover’s haven. Watch birds soar; fishermen work, and enjoy unspoiled nature at its best. In my opinion, the 5pm tour  is the best trip of the day. The 9:30 tour takes a bit longer to locate the whales and the 10am and 3pm are limited to 2 and a half hour tours. The 5pm tour is just perfect – it can last into the sunset and you get to enjoy the whales longer.
