If you are looking for a true adventure on your trip to Mongolia, look no further than this 16-day multi activity tour in the Western region! You’ll be introduced to all that the country has to offer from it’s pristine forests to it’s massive mountains.

Day one will start with your arrival to Ulaanbaatar. You’ll be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel before enjoying a sightseeing tour of the city. Along the way, you’ll see the Sukhbaatar Square, the Chinggis Khan Monument, the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum and a traditional Mongolian performance. Day two will bring you on an amazing flight to the province of Gobi Altai. Once there, you’ll see a human stone from the Turkish period and will be able to explore the city at your own pace.

Day three will consist of a short drive to Ereen Lake which is surrounded by the amazing sand dunes. While exploring the dunes, you’ll have the chance to see various species of reptiles, to meet a local Gobi nomadic family and to take an awesome horseback ride. Day four will bring you to the Durgun Lake by car. You’ll see amazing views of the mountains, the dunes and many species of birds along the way.

The fifth day will bring you on a drive to the amazing Gurvan Tsenkher Cave. Once there, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the Paleolithic period, the symbols located in the cave and much more. On day six, you’ll be brought to the beautiful Tsambagarav Mountain National Park. While exploring the park, you will see amazing glaciers, various species of endangered animals and snow-capped mountains. Activities you can participate in while visiting the park include camel riding, sunbathing, canoeing and swimming. You’ll spend the seventh day climbing the mountain to the overnight camping spot!

The eighth day of this tour will consist of a drive to Ulgii and by the Tolbo Lake. You’ll enjoy a delicious lunch on the lakeside before visiting a Kazakh family. This family will share many interesting stories and facts about the history of the area. You’ll also hear about how these people use eagles to assist them on their hunts. Day nine will bring you to the amazing Tsagaan gol River and the Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain.

Day ten will consist of a base camp trek to Altai Tavan Bogd. You’ll enjoy a 15km trek on the edge of the Potanin Glacier at the foothills of Malchin Peak. Along the way, you’ll see herds of camels and amazing views of the mountain. Day eleven will bring you on another trek to the amazing Malchin Peak which sits at 4,037 metres above sea level. You’ll enjoy views of Russia, the glaciated peaks and much more along the way.

The twelfth day of this tour will bring you back to Tsagaan gol. You’ll have the opportuntity to travel through the valley of the Tavan Bogd and to try various types of Kazakh cuisines. Day thirteen will take you on a drive to Achit Lake. This is one of the largest lakes in Mongolia and is protected by the state. Day fourteen will bring you to another lake, the Uureg. You’ll enjoy exploring it’s surroundings and seeing paintings on it’s rocky walls.

Days fifteen and sixteen will bring you back to Ulaanbaatar for sightseeing and your departure! We guarantee that you’ll leave with many fond memories of Mongolia.
