We then follow the coastline around to the Weta Cave, the showpiece of Peter Jackson’s film empire. There you can tour the Weta Workshop or watch a short documentary outlining the filmmaking exploits of Peter and his remarkable team.
After lunch at a local cafe (price included) we follow the rugged Southern coast around to Red Rocks and the seal colony. Out West is next, to the historic Wrights Hill Military site with a different scenic vista of Wellingon and finally we drop into Makara beach to see what the local divers and fishermen have caught.
