Here’s how we’ll spend the day and what we’ll do together

1. A rare & nostalgic life flash-back
The guests will have a unique opportunity to spend a day with Amalia, who is a typical representative of Greeks who were born and raised in Constantinople. She will let them into her life’s rare experiences, her long marriage, her cherished sons & grandsons, and her move-abouts to and from Greece and Turkey. These will lead into an insider’s comparison between the two civilizations. She will also take her guests to special places that are very close to her heart.

2. Cooking and deli sampling
Amalia is an excellent cook, and she is not shy to share her exquisite cooking abilities with her guests, who will spend a lot of time with her learning how to prepare (and consume) typical dishes originating from the famous Constantinople cuisine (“politiki kouzina”), which has a lot of oriental influences and is renowned for its distinguished and mouth-watering recipes.
