Day 1: Hanoi motorbike tour to Mai Chau
On this 160km, 5 hour ride, you will tour from the West of Hanoi, passing through endless limestone karst scenery, “Perfume Pagoda” country, and a sea of paddy fields. After a picnic lunch, you will visit the hot springs at Kim Boi. From Kim Boi, you will head Northwest, pass through two passes, and settle in at the beautiful Mai Chau. You will stay overnight in a traditional still house, with friends of the White Thai minority. You can look forward to the local culinary delights!
Day 2: Motorbike tour to Moc Chau
After exploring the village and surrounding area of Mai Chau on foot, you will head out for a 140 km, 5 hour ride. On your ride, you will tour on an abandoned French colonial road, which served the Northwest until 1994. You will pass areas inhabited by Thai peoples, as well as Dao and H’Mong ethnicities. Look forward to spectacular views of the mountain ranges, before settling in Moc Chau, where you will stay overnight.
Day 3: Motorbike tour to Phu Yen
Depart for Phu Yen on a 140 km, 5 hour ride. You will drop down the side of a valley, all the way down to the Black River Reservoir. Much of this area is inhabited by Kinh as well as both Black and White Thai ethnicities. You will then arrive in Phu Yen, set in the middle of a vast valley floor of paddy fields, and stay overnight.
Day 4: Motorbike tour to Vu Linh
This 150 km, 5 hour tour will take you through tea fields, followed by hitting the road to Yen Bai town. After lunch in Yen Bai town, you will ride to the lake, for a relaxing afternoon and overnight in Vu Linh.
Day 5: Motorbik tour back to Hanoi
This 180 km, 6 hour tour will take you on a cruise along Highway 2, and then branching off to Phu Tho for lunch. You will then follow the Red River, passing through Son Tay, and returning to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
