Guide

Trip Info

The ‘Wonderful Cabirol’ is a via ferrata which moves along the majestic cliffs of Capo Caccia (Alghero). The ferrata is divided into two main areas: the first low ledge and the second high ledge (recommended to be crossed in that order). The two ledges are connected by an exposed, vertical section that must be faced with great caution.

Via ferrata is located between the beautiful ridges of Capo Caccia and immediately starts down a wide ledge that often leaves the chance to walk free enjoying the panorama of wild beauty. The lower ledge presents no technical difficulties until the point that will lead us to hook onto the high ledge. At this point of junction we’ll discover a vertical staircase of 25 meters in front of us that requires the practicality of our via ferrata kit.

After climbing the vertical, we’ll start on the high ledge that, with an overhanging segment, brings us again to the high cliffs.
