A visit to Vasari Corridor only, with no other museums involved.
One mile long secret passage up the Ponte Vecchio, built by G. Vasari as Cosimo required. The secret passage to go from the family residence Palazzo Pitti to Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio without meeting ordinary citizens on the way – as with most monarchs of the period, he felt insecure in public.
The tour includes passing Church of Santa Felicita with a private balcony for the ruler of the city as well as many tower private houses. There are lots of portraits, famous self-portraits of important artists all the way long, such as Durer, Rubens and Velasquez… not only old ones, but there is also a collection of new art pieces.
Incredible walk through Florence!
