Join us on a 10 day Uganda Super Safari, where you will see some of the most amazing wildlife in the heart of Africa! On this tour, we will see the great game, track the tree-climbing lions, track the chimpanzees in Kyamvura, and visit the gorilla parks of Bwindi and Mgahinga!
The vacation safari starts off upon your arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, where you will be met by your guides and transferred to the elegant Windsor Lake Victoria hotel, a colonial style 4 star hotel. Relax, and catch up on sleep – your safari starts the next morning!
Transfer to Kampala, where you will be briefed on your safari, and then set off on the road! On the way, visit the royal drum makers, take a picture on the Equator, and bargain at roadside markets. We will then see the beautiful Great Rift Valley, as we descend to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Keep and eye out for the game! We will then spend the night at either the Mweya or Jacana Volcanoes Mobile Camps.
Sleep in, or go for an early morning game drive. the Queen Elizabeth Park is known for its tree climbing lions. We will then visit the Kyambura Gorge and Maramagambo Forest, where you will see chimps, forest monkeys, and flamingos. We will then spend an over night at the Mweya or Jacana camps.
Make a full day excursion to Kyambura, and track the chimpanzees. Afterwards, hop on a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel. This trip passes through the highest hippo concentration in Africa. Return to the Mweya or Jacana camps.
Leave early in the morning for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Spend overnight at the Volcanoes Bwindi Camp, which overlooks the primeval forest, inhabited by monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzees, and birds. This camp is the ideal place to experience the magic of the forest.
Go gorilla tracking (subject to permit availability), in search of the mountain gorilla. This is a long, hard journey, but coming face to face with these primates will we worth the work! Return to the Bwindi camp overnight.
Leave for Mgahinga, stopping off at Kabana Gap to view the Virunga volcanoes on the way. We will then proceed to Volcanoes Mount Gahinga Rest Camp, to spend the rest of the day at leisure. This area is ideal for gorilla tracking, climbing a volcano, going birding, or swimming in the emerald waters of Lake Mutanda.
This is a day open for additional gorilla tracking, at an additional fee. The Virunga Conservation Area comprises of three National Parks: Mgahinga National Park, Parc National des Volcans, and Parc des Virungas. These parks are home to 350 mountain gorillas. Stay overnight at Mount Gahinga Rest Camp.
Visit Lake Muttanda, or explore Toyo Island on a canoe. Walk into Kabale town for some sightseeing in the afternoon, and then enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the White Horse Inn.
Return to Entebbe in time for your departure flight.
