Trip Info

Pepacton Reservoir offers excellent Brown Trout and Smallmouth bass Fishing. It’s best casting lures and fishing with minnows from the shore in early April because the water is still cold and the trout are close to shore. (Trout season runs from April 1st-Sept. 30th.) As the water warms up in late April and May, you can fish from a rowboat or a canoe casting with minnows while drifting or at anchor, or you can troll using lures. As the water warms up even more in June, you can fish the deeper waters with minnows or troll with lures, using lead core line or downriggers.
