Make the most of your time in Italy and visit the renowned town of Stresa and its beautiful Isola Bella in lake Maggiore with a licensed and qualified tour guide! Everything you will see will look different when seen through the eyes of a local!
Starting at Stresa landing stage or at your hotel lobby, we will stroll around Stresa, where I will tell you about the local history and local curiosities. Following the introduction to the local history, we will take a boat (regular boat shared with others or a private boat for a special trip!) to reach Isola Bella, the real jewel of lake Maggiore. Our visit will include the palace of Prince Borromeo, a fabulous building dating back to the 17th century. While exploring the palace, we will discover more about this aristocratic family.
Following a tour of the palace, we will go on a walking tour through the terraced gardens. The gardens will reveal all the beauty which is concentrated on Isola Bella.
Note: If you are not based in Stresa, starting point can also be Verbania, Pallanza and Baveno.
