Trip Info

Want a full sightseeing adventure but on a time budget? This nature tour will allow you to see several of the local attractions within one day. You will visit the elephant conservation centre, tour the Batu Caves and have a chance to feed monkeys before ending the day with a firefly light show!

On the way to the centre, we will tour the Batu Caves, a limestone hill. Within these caves, you will see temples and Hindu shrines. At the entrance, an amazing golden concrete and steel statue of Murugan stands at 140 feet tall. Climb the 272 steps to tour one of the caves.

As we approach the conservation center, you will be able to see young and older elephants as this is where orphaned and displaced ones are cared for. We will arrive for feeding time and depending on the river conditions, you may see the bathing of the elephants. A Malaysian lunch at the center will have you ready for a fun afternoon of exploring and learning. A video will demonstrate the capture and transfer of wild rogue elephants.

A relaxed drive through the countryside to Bukit Melawati in Kuala Selangor. Here, you will have a ball while feeding the monkeys! They clamber over you if you hold snacks for them. The Silvered Leaf Monkey is an adorable and friendly animal that feeds on young leaves, tree shoots and wild fruits. Their infants are orange in colour and after 3 months, turn silver. They live in clusters of six to ten and this is a unique experience with nature.

A fresh seafood dinner at The Riverside Cafe will be enjoyed before catching a boat to watch fireflies. A natural phenomenon! The fireflies congregate on mangrove trees to feed on nectar and to mate. We will return to Kuala Lumpur later that evening.
