Guide

Trip Info

We’ll visit one of the most important archaeological sites along the Peruvian Central coast. It’s located at 40 km, about 21 miles, south of Lima in an area called Lurin, next to the former Pan-American Highway. At Pachacamac, we’ll visit not only the site itself but also the museum which houses different object that were found during the excavations carried out over the past decades.

We combine both walking on the site and the drive-around to visit Pachacamac to maximize the experience. En route to go to Pachacamac, we stop for some minutes in one of the most popular areas of Lima called Barranco which used to be known as the city of the windmills. Today, just one of them is left. This area was once considered one of the richest beach resorts in the city during the 19th and the 20th centuries.
