The Lisbon of Fernando Pessoa is a walking private tour around the sites where this great Portuguese poet and writer lived and worked. Largo de São Carlos is the meeting point for a tour that starts in front of the house where Pessoa was born. The group then heads to Chiado to visit the iconical cafe A Brasileira (a bronze statue of Pessoa stands out in the exterior terrace) right before climbing to largo do Carmo, where the poet worked. Going down to the pombaline downtown, the group goes through some of the offices where he worked (and wrote some of his works), and finally stops in Martinho da Arcada, a restaurant that still preserves the table where Pessoa used to sit.
The tour includes a ride in the 28 tram, that takes the group to Campo de Ourique. There, all participants are invited to visit the interior of the House of Fernando Pessoa (entrance included). The tour takes the tram again to return to Chiado, where the it comes to an end in São Luís dos Franceses hospital (the place where Fernando Pessoa died, at the age of 47). This tour takes three hours to complete and it has a low level of difficulty (it is possible to stop the tour for a quick rest upon request). The tour is made in both Portuguese and English languages and takes a minimum of two people and a maximum of twenty people.
