Trip Info

Visit the landing beaches on this amazing sightseeing tour, where you learn of the history the beaches of Normandy during the Second World War. This amazing experience will take you from Utah Beach to Sword Beach, which is approximately 65 miles on the Calvados coast.

Due to the number of beaches, as well as their importance, it is impossible to visit all the sites in one day. We can customize the tour to reflect your interests and what you’d like to see. You may choose the american sector, and learn about the role America played in the war, by visitng Utah Beach and Sainte-Mere-Eglise, where the paratroopers were launched. Perhaps you’d prefer to visit Omaha Beach , la Pointe du Hoc, immortalized by the rangers and the beautiful american cemetery.

In case you are looking to learn of the histories of the British or Canadian roles in the war, we could visit the British and Canadian sector, with Arromanches Gold Beach , Juno Beach and Sword Beach.

Whatever beaches you choose to visit, you will learn a considerable amount regarding the history of Normandy during the Second World War.

Your adventure awaits!

I have been a tour guide for 33 years. I mostly work with American clients as well as Canadians. I simply love to share what I have learnt and read. My father was a part of the great resistance as well as a survivor of a concentration camp. I was raised by wonderful parents who spoke so much of the landing on June 6th 1944.

Our tour to Utah beach where my father in law landed on D-Day was excellent. Marianne has tremendous knowledge of D-Day as well as the Normandy area. This was a tour from a cruise ship, so Marianne and her husband/driver met us at the pier in Honfleur and we left for a very full day since Utah Beach is the furthest away, but the time went by so quickly with Marianne discussing history and points of interest along the way. It was an excellent tour and I highly recommend it!

Our Omaha Beach and American Cemetery tour with Marianne was fantastic. We met Marianne at the Caen train station where we picked up our rental car–she directed our travel out of town and into the countryside beautifully. We enjoyed an information filled morning/early afternoon with Marianne, learning fascinating stories about the area, WW II, French resistance fighters. Our stops at Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery were very moving. Highly recommend!

Marianne was a superb guide, effectively blending sophisticated historical knowledge about the Norman Conquest and the Normandy Landings with her poignant personal perspective on the French Resistance in the Second World War.

We had the BEST day with Marianne! If we spent a month with her we would still be learning. The weather was magnificent as was the tour, Normandy was the highlight of our visit to France. Marianne is a gem!

An enjoyable day visiting the landing beaches. Marianne was a knowledgable guide. We learned many important facts while touring the normal sites. The convenience of being picked up by our guide and taken home was very important for us. Thank you for the exciting day.

What a fabulous day! Marianne was such a great guide. She had so much information to share! She was really able to “set the scene” for us and what it must have been like for all of those soldiers that stormed the beach. She made sure the tour was very personalized! I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide! Thanks Marianne for making our visit so memorable!

My husband and I, plus our son, and his family had the pleasure to have Marianne as our guide. We found Marianne to be extremely knowledgable and we all agreed the DDay Tour experience would not have been as impressive without having her as our guide. She was wonderful with the adults and our granddaughters. We highly recommend Marianne as a guide for a memorable tour of the DDay Sites.
