The hike to Lake Bachalpsee offers a magnificent experience to enjoy the valley of Grindelwald, walking through lush flowering alpine meadows. The majestic Schreckhorn is reflected in the blue jewel of the Bernese Alps during windless conditions. On the opposite side of the valley, the stunning view on the famous ice-capped group of Eiger-Monch-Jungfaru pay back for the day.
Behind the lake, the former mule track climbs steeply in the direction of the Faullhorn, where we enjoy spectacular views over all the mountain peaks of the Bernese Oberland. In the opposite direction, the view over the Alpine foothills, Emmental, Midland and Jura to the Baden Black Forest and the Vosges in Alsace.
