Trip Info

Paddle down the waterway that helped form New Orleans. Great paddle for those looking for a mix of history and relaxation. Feel free to bring drinks on this paddle. Bayou St. John is now an “urban” waterway that begins in mid-city and extends for about three miles north to Lake Pontchartrain. For most of its length, the bayou borders City Park. About a dozen waterways flow into or out of Lake Pontchartrain with Bayou St. John being the one that almost connects to the Mississippi River.
