Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be transferred by your driver guide to Arusha Town. You will be given a briefing about your Wildlife & Wilderness Safari. Overnight at Zawadi House.
DAY 2 – Game Viewing in Tarangire National Park:
Depart with your naturalist guide for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park, and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephant. A bush walk and a cultural visit with the semi-nomadic tribes are also included. Dinner & overnight at Burunge Tented Camp.
DAY 3 – Lake Manyara National Park & Ngorongoro Conservation Area:
After breakfast, depart by a 4 Wheel Drive Land Cruiser to Lake Manyara National Park. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is one of the most beautiful places in Africa. As you enter the gate, the Park is dramatically marked off by lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the ground water forest, which provide a home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Further down, the forest opens up into woodland, grassland, swamps and beyond, the soda lake itself where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork can be viewed (a bird watchers’ paradise). At the southern end of the Park are hot sulphur springs called Maji Moto. Manyara is noted for its numerous buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo, as well as a great variety of smaller animals, and of course the very elusive tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, you will proceed towards Ngorongoro conservation Area. Ngorongoro is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters from the floor. Covering an area of 259 square kilometers, it is considered to be one of the ‘Wonders of the Natural World’ and is a veritable haven for wildlife. In the afternoon, you will proceed towards Ngorongoro Serena, the lodge is well camouflaged and has been built into the rim of the Crater keeping to a minimum any intrusion into the surrounding countryside. From each of the 75 rooms, the view into the Crater is stunning. Dinenr and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House.
DAY 4 – Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti National Park:
Leaving early in the morning and taking a picnic lunch with you, you will spend most of the day game driving on the floor of the crater. The bottom of the crater is dotted with watering-holes, and shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. In the afternoon, you will proceed towards Serengeti National Park, probably the greatest park on earth. This park covers over 14 000 square kilometers and offers amongst many other things, the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats). Many different landscapes can be found in the Serengeti: Savannah with the big plains to the south, hills & woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bush land to the north. Important rivers (Seronera, Banagi, Grumeti ) also run through the park. Many different species of mammals can be spotted during game drives: elephant, buffalo, giraffes, antelope, hippo and crocodile can also be found. Dinner and overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp.
DAY 5 – Serengeti National Park:

Spice up your life…………Visit Zanzibar! For many centuries, Persians, Arabs, Chinese, Indians as well as European explorers have sailed the Indian Ocean heading to the coasts of “Zinj” and Zanzibar, creating a true mosaic of different influences and styles. The Swahili culture was born there in the seventh century. Later, Kiswahili became the Lingua Franca throughout East Africa and parts of Central Africa.
Stone Town is the ideal place “to feel” the atmosphere, and soul of Zanzibar. Elegant trader’s houses, old coral stone buildings set behind large carved doors, some with Koranic inscriptions in Arabic, narrow alleyways with covered balconies, wonderful shops and tiny stalls selling local handicrafts, spice and fish market, and in the evening sounds and smells from the Forodhani Gardens where fish and lobster are grilled on barbecues.
Zanzibar is known as the Spice Islands and was once the world’s leading producer of cloves. A guided tour to spice farms and plantations is an option here. Here you can see, smell and taste aromatic species, scented plants among them, guava, mangoes, vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, chillies, black pepper and cinnamon.
Zanzibar is an idyllic beach holiday island – its pristine reefs, sandy white beaches and clear blue waters are among the best in the world.
