Trip Info

You can still enjoy a world class safari on a budget with this six-day adventure! Explore the regions of Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti with a jeep tour. You will have many opportunities to see various wildlife in their natural habitat.

You will be picked up in Arusha and driven to Tarangire National Park. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands and oryx stay until the onset of rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. The park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. In the late afternoon, you will go to Tarangire Public Campsite for the night.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara and have a game drive in the park with a picnic lunch. In the tall trees of the ground water forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch and elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes and hippos. Later, you will drive to Panorama Inn in Karatu for your dinner and overnight.

In the morning, you will head to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most famous park. Get your camera ready for pictures of buffalo herds, elephants and giraffes. Thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and gazelle are residents all year. Lions and leopards are also easily seen. Later in the evening, you will be taken to Nguchiro Campsite for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will venture into Serengeti‚Äôs wilderness for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch, enjoy your leisure while exploring this world heritage site. It has the world’s largest concentration of plain game roaming free! In the late evening, return to the campsite for your dinner and overnight.

The fifth morning, head out for another game drive in the amazing Serengeti. About 70 large mammals and 500 bird species are found here. This is a function of diverse habitats such as forests, swamps, kopjes, grasslands and woodlands. Blue wildebeests, gazelles, zebras and buffaloes are some of the commonly found large mammals in the region. Try to spot lions or leopards! Enjoy dinner and overnight at campsite.

The last day of the tour will begin with a drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as prides of lion including the magnificent black-manned males. There are many colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see include leopard, cheetah, hyena and more members of the antelope family. Transportation back to Arusha will end the tour late in the day.

Your adventure awaits!
