Wagashi making lesson fee, admission fee to Tenryuji temple
Transportation and lunch for guests and guide are not included in the fee. The payment is requested for being made in Japanese yen for 28,000 yen per person.
- Tenryuji is the most important temple in Kyoto's Arashiyama district. It was ranked first among the city's five great Zen temples, and is now registered as a world heritage site. Tenryuji is the head temple of its own school within the Rinzai Zen sect of Japanese Buddhism.
- The walking paths that cut through the bamboo forest make for a nice walk. The forest is particularly attractive when there is a light wind and the tall bamboo stalks sway gently back and forth.
- Wagashi is often served with tea. Wagashi is typically made from plant ingredients.
