Explore a newly discovered trekking trail in an off-the-beaten region of Langtang. You will have the opportunity to learn and engage in the age-long arts and architectures, sacred monasteries and prayers flags during the trek. Enjoy the landscapes of alpine terrain, wide meadows and flowering rhododendron forests along with various wildlife of the mountains.
The Tamang Heritage Trail opens a different world of the Himalayan kingdom where the trekkers can experience and acknowledge age-standing Tamang culture and hospitable people. The locals are very friendly and interested in learning about visitors trekking through the region. The inhabitants of this region settled from a Tibetan part named Kerung, so the intermingled cultures of the different ethnic groups in this region are distinctive from other trekking trails in Nepal. The unique way of treating the trekkers, the classical but systematic way of rearing livestock, the way they present their skills while they make homemade products like baskets, mats, pillows and blankets and their direct trade link to Tibetan lands are notable attractions in this trekking trail.
This trail is also famous for the mountain views such as Langtang Lirung, Langtang Kerung, Chimse Danda ridge, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Paldor Peak, Manaslu and Sanjen Himal ranges. See over 70 glaciers of various sizes and high altitude lakes including Gosainkunda, Parvati Kunda, Bhairav Kunda and Dudh Kunda. This trekking is in fact a blend of both spiritual and nature.
