Trip Info

Taman Negara is a 130 million year-old tropical rainforest with 4,343 sq km of lush greenery. There are rivers, rapids, waterfalls, secret caves, mountains, rolling hills and various flora and fauna.

You will depart on the jungle tour after an early breakfast. Enjoy the¬†canopy walkway which is the longest in South East Asia at 530 meters. You will get a birds-eye view of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. Although challenging, the jungle trek up to Teresek Hills is inspiring. The experienced nature guide will engage you with facts and fancies of the various flora and fauna in Taman Negara. A picnic lunch will be served in the forest.

Experience the thrill of¬†shooting the rapids as your boatman negotiates 7 sets of Rapids and you get a “chance” to get wet. You will get to see the Aborigine firemaking skills and blowpipe hunting techniques when you visit a tribe village.

A chance to unwind with a bite at the Floating Cafe before checking into the local hotel. A rest or nap is suggested for the long night ahead. You will enjoy a lovely dinner at the Cafe as the sun sets and darkness falls.

It’s time for an exciting adventure as we trek through the jungle to an observation deck near the spot where animals are known to feed on the salt licks. You will delight in the parade of deer and tapirs. Be on the lookout for owls, snakes, insects, spiders and even scorpions as our torches light the way. Return to the hotel for overnight.

The next day activities will be based on the option you previously chose before the tour.

For a visit to the Cascading Waterfalls, we will depart after breakfast to catch the boat for protected area. Cruise among the scenic and mesmerizing landscape where you may see kingfishers, fish eagles, lizards and monkeys. A stop at the local research and conservation sanctuary will give you an opportunity to feed the mahseer fish. Although no swimming is allowed at the falls due to strong underwater currents, there are places nearby to take a dip if you so wish. A return to the hotel after lunch to checkout will begin our trip back to Kuala Lumpur. We will stop along the way at the Batu Caves. You will marvel at the inside and outside cave temples and shrines.

If the choice was to return to Kuala Lumpur after breakfast, a visit to the Batu Caves will still be made. We will also stop at the twin towers once we return to the city. The Petronas Towers are the tallest twin buildings in the world.

Your adventure awaits!
