Discover the amazing landscapes and animal species of Sri Lanka on this fantastic wildlife safari. This 7 day tour will introduce you to the best that the area has to offer. Your tour will start at the Colombo airport. You’ll be transferred to Sigiriya where you can relax at your hotel and spend an evening in leisure.
Day two will bring you on the start of your adventure. You’ll climb Sigiriya, which was built in the 5th century, explore the Minneriya National Park, which is home to wild elephants, and enjoy a jeep safari around the region.
Day three will bring you to the city of Kandy. You can visit the Dambulla Rock Carve Temple, a spice garden, the Bazaar, the Gem Museum, the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
The fourth day of the tour will bring you to the Udawalawa National Park. This area is located in the dry zone. Along the way, you may see species of animals such as buffalo, spotted deer, wild boar, sambhur, jackals, crocodiles and monitor lizards.
Days five and six will consist of trips to the second largest park in Sri Lanka, the Yala National. This park is filled with many of the same animals as the Udawalawa but is also blessed with elephants, sloth bears and many species of birds. After visiting the park on the 6th day, you will continue to the town of Galle, where you can see a turtle hatchery, handmade lace, ebony elephants and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day seven will bring you back to the Colombo airport, where your trip comes to an end!
