Trip Info

This is not your average wildlife safari! This is an adventure for avid wildlife watchers that want to see and/or photograph Sri Lanka’s iconic animals day and night. During the day we will visit the most productive national parks in Sri Lanka to track down leopards, sloth bears, numerous primates and large herds of asian elephants. You can also expect to see numerous other species including herds of chitals (spotted deer), sambar deer, mongooses, wild boars, water buffalos, endless endemic bird species, giant squirrels, golden jackals, lizards, snakes and mugger crocodiles.

After dinner, while other tour groups are waiting for the next day to begin, we will venture out at night to look for smaller nocturnal species that are rarely seen by visitors. This is a rare chance to visit many secret spots where you can find shy endemic species such as rusty-spotted cats, jungle cats, fishing cats, civets and lorises.
