In the ancient city Dambulla, we will check out the Sigiriya World Heritage Site, surrounded by gardens is an ancient setting for the looming rock. Climb the 1000 plus steps to the summit as you pass old wall paintings and sweeping views. We’ll also visit many wonderful restaurants with traditional foods to give you a new sense of the culture here.
Visit the world famous Kandy, a large city surrounded by mountains that are home to tea plantations and a bio-diverse rainforest. See the city’s heart, Kandy Lake and take a stroll. We’ll also visit the sacred Buddhist sites including the Temple of the Tooth shrine. We’ll visit the royal botanical gardens as well as the National museum of Kandy.
Travel to Negombo, a quaint beach town with a wonderful fish market and plenty of friendly locals to speak with. Move onto the busier and more popular city of Colombo. Colombo is emerging as a must-see stop when visiting Sri Lanka and is filled with beautiful scenery, sights, monuments and tourist activities.
