Trip Info

Agra – ‘The kingdom of Mughals’ stands imperiously on the banks of Yamuna river. It is famous as a major tourist destination because of its many splendid antique structures and constructions done by Mughal-era rulers. With Hinduism, Islam, and Jainism religions running integrally in its veins, the state reveals the map of bygone Mughal-era history drawn with the colors of war, rivalry, sovereignty, regality, conspiracy,blood-shed, enthronement & dethronement etc.

We will reach Agra around 10:00 AM, and will visit Baby Taj first.

The “Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah” is a Mughal mausoleum in the city of Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.Often described as a “jewel box”, sometimes called the “Baby Tāj”, it is often regarded as a draft of the Tāj Mahal. Along with the main building, the structure consists of numerous outbuildings and gardens. The tomb, built between 1622 and 1628 represents a transition between the first phase of monumental Mughal architecture primarily built from red sandstone with marble decorations, as in Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi and Akbar’s tomb in Sikandra – to its second phase, based on white marble and pietra dura inlay, most elegantlyrealized in the Tāj Mahal.

Thereafter, you will be taken to Agra Fort.

Built with red sandstone and white marble, Agra Fort is a treasure house of Mughal architecture. Inside this magnanimous fort, there are remarkable palaces, embellished chambers, hospitable reception rooms and marvelous mosques. Here, you will get mesmerized at the beauty of Pearl Mosque (Moti Masjid),JahangirMahal,Diwan-i-Khas,Diwan-i-Am, Macchi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Sheesh Mahal, Mina Masjid and Musammam Burj.

After visiting Agra Fort, chauffeur will drive you to Taj Mahal. If you wish, before visiting Taj, you can have lunch at a city restaurant and then proceed on your tour.Termed as ‘Token of Love, Devotion & Romance’ the world recognized it as ‘Jewel of Muslim Art in India’, the Taj Mahal is the majestic crown of palaces. The white domed marble mausoleum was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Acclaimed by the archaeologistsworld over as the finest example of Mughal architecture, it reflects a style that combines elements from Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural styles. After completing your Taj visit, you will be driven to Delhi .
