Trip Info

This is an excursion to the most visited park in Chile, Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. We will pick you at your hotel in the morning. Drive bordering the south side of the Lake Llanquihue and continue up to the Osorno Volcano Teski Ski Resort, 1200 masl. (3937 feet asl.) Where you will get spectacular views of the Mt Tronador, Volcano Puntiagudo, Llanquihue lake, and if is clear enough even the Reloncavi sound and of course the whole valley of Petrohue river.

Appreciate the views while going for a short walk. Drive back down to the starting point of the Solitario trail. Here we will join the natural trail which introduces us into the deep forest with lichens and ferns that slowly change the landscape into drier terrain and cross the lava flow of the last eruption in 1869 to finally arrive to the spectacular Petrohue River Falls that flows to the estuary of Reloncavi. We will then visit the Lake Todos Los Santos. Drive back to your hotel. Arrive at 18:00 hrs approx.

Duration: 6 hours. 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from Pto Varas. 2 hour Walk. 6 km/ 3.7 miles/Plus the visit to the waterfalls, drive up the ski center in the volcano and stop at the Emerald Lake.

Difficulty level: Easy+. Terrain: gravel. Mostly down hill and undulating.
