Anglers of all levels will find this outing a very exciting adventure! Sight Fishing requires a bit more skill and patience but when you witness a fish inhale your bait or fly, it is an amazing sight!
We will meet up at a prearranged spot at a designated time. Once we arrive at the fishing area, you will undergo several exercises before casting your line. You will be taught how to look and see the bottom under the water from the skiff. The water we fish in can range from eight inches to five feet deep. To be good in this sport, you have to be able to see through the surface glare and be looking at the bottom.
The weather also plays a part as the clouds and sun can cast shadows that appear to be fish. They can also hide the catch. Position of the skiff and the angler plays a big part in a successful trip. Two key items that help are side shields on your glasses and a dark underside on your hat brim.
Once all of the fishing precautions are lined up, it’s time to catch some bonefish, tarpon, permit and redfish. Together we can find the fish but it comes down to you to cast the line. You will receive lessons on casting if need be. If you wish just to cast the rod to catch anything, perhaps the boat can be guided to seatrout, jacks and sharks.
You will enjoy the beauty of the landscape surrounding the water. Keep an eye out for crabs and many various birds on your journey as well.
