Trip Info
A walking tour in Selinus with an archaeologist who can explain to you the long history of that wonderful place. We will start from the Eastern Hill, admiring the 3 temples out of the city: the reconstructed temple E, the temple F and the huge unfinished temple G. The last was dedicated to Zeus as the biggest temple of Akragas. Then we could reach the acropolis, walking or taking the electric train available on the site or taking our car. On the acropolis the temple of Apollo in an important example of an archaic building. We could walk along the streets of the ancient town, admiring its houses and sacred buildings, surrounded by an impressive fortification wall, with a nice view of the coast.
Selinus is one of the best preserved Greek towns in Sicily because it has a continuity of life after the ancient period and it offers an unusual occasion to live an immersive experience in a Greek Town.
Your adventure awaits!
