Guide

Trip Info

Originally an execution ground due to its proximity to the City of London, Smithfield  is an area dating back to the 1300′s. Here, many were executed including William Wallace, the Scots Patriot. Smithfield is also home to Charterhouse, once a Carthusian Monastery, St Bartholomew (one of London’s oldest haunted churches), and the site where the Great Fire of London eventually blew itself out.
