Trip Info

Take an amazing tour around one of the most beautiful cities in the world on this car tour in San Diego! This trip will introduce you to areas such as La Jolla, Coronado Island, the downtown area, the Balboa Park and the Sea World Park.

The coastal area of La Jolla is a real reserve in the heart of civilization. Here, we can see fur seals, lying right on the beach and pelicans flying in the sky. We will then go to La Jolla’s Rodeo Drive, which is home to many expensive boutiques, art galleries, luxury hotels and fashionable restaurants. Later, we will head up to the highest observation deck in the city on Mount Soledad, which is the best place to admire the city. Mount Soledad is also home to the soldier memorial, which is a nine-meter white cross covered with commemorative plaques immortalizing the soldiers who participated in military conflicts.

Our next stop is the charming Coronado Island. Here, we’ll visit the famous 1888 Del Coronado Hotel, where the movie “Some Like It Hot” was filmed in 1959. Other than the hotel, this island is famous for it’s old mansions, it’s large yachts and it’s luxurious beaches with white sand.

Continue your tour on to the historical downtown center. The Gaslamp Quarter is famous for it’s theaters, it’s nightclubs, it’s music halls and a huge number of restaurants in restored Victorian buildings. While visiting the beautiful waterfront, you’ll see the “Unconditional Surrender”, which is a sculpture of an American sailor kissing a nurse. Next, you will head to the Maritime Museum where famous ships such as “the Star of India”, the Soviet submarine “B-39″ and “the USS Midway” aircraft carrier call home!

The second last stop on this tour is the Balboa Park! This park is the heart and soul of the city and looks like an old Spanish town. It was built specifically for the Panama-California exposition (1915-1916) and celebrated the opening of Panama Canal. We will walk through the park’s shady alleys, enjoy it’s amazing architecture and much more!

Our final stop will be at the Sea World Park, which is a world famous park known for it’s amazing marine animals. Once here, you’ll be able to see killer whales, fur seals and dolphins among others.

If you are looking for one of the best sightseeing tours in San Diego, this is the tour for you!
