Trip Info

From the stones of Jebel Bani to the sands of Chegaga, this desert tour will give you a better understanding of the culture, traditions and lives of the local people. You will travel in the footsteps of the ancient caravans across a diverse landscape. See the Black Desert and magnificent ergs of Hamada du Draa as you walk and ride camels lead by professional guides and drivers.

Over the 12 days of trekking, you will be walking five to six hours each day. We will immerse ourselves into the nomad life as we spend the nights in tents or sleep under the stars, if you wish. Guides, camel drivers and a cook will accompany you.

Upon your arrival in Ouarzazate, you will be met by your guide and transported to your hotel or guesthouse for the night. IN the morning, we will drive to Bouatache, next to Zagora. We will unwind and prepare for the trek here.

The next day, our trekking tour over the next seven days will take us through the Jebel Bani, rocky desert, Chegaga Sand Sea, ergs and regs. Enjoy the experience of crossing dunes, tamarisk and desert plateaus as well as the atmosphere, the richness and authenticity of meeting the local people.

We will return to Ouarzazate on day 11. You will be transported to the airport to catch your flight the next day.
