Trip Info

Visit the most beautiful cave paintings of the Andean people in Alto El Loa. Their complexity has been studied by archeo-astronomers and archeologists, interpreting the different pictures as a point of view of cosmogony, the mythical explanation of the origin of the universe.

During your trekking tour, you will visit the reservoir Conchi, Cerro Las Papas and observe the towering volcanoes of San Pedro, San Pablo and Paniri. You’ll also visit the world’s smallest volcano, The Poruna. Travel along roads that were used by the Andean people as part of their trade and dairy farms. You will hike for three hours to the river basin to cross the El Loa to enjoy and marvel at the paintings on stone. Enjoy lunch along the El Loa River before heading to Rinconada Santa Barbara where you’ll discover beautiful rock art.

Your adventure awaits!
