Trip Info

08:00: From your hotel in Saigon, kick-start your exciting, private day tour with a short, 40-minute bike ride in rush hour to the alleys of Ho Thi Ky. We will take a short break for photos at the site of “The most powerful photo of all time,” where a Buddhist monk set himself on fire in 1963 to oppose the then regime’s anti-Buddhist policies.

08:40: Upon arrival at the Ho Thi Ky alleys, enjoy a short, 30-minute walk in the alleys and visit Saigon’s largest wholesale flower market, which has been here for almost a century.

09:10: Drive to Cho Lon (known as Chinatown) and stroll through the back streets market of Tan Thanh, where jungles of motor-parts are provided for some 6 million motorbikes in Saigon. Interestingly, hundreds of U.S ammunition boxes found their way to this market after the Vietnam War and are now being reused as toolboxes. Go on to visit Binh Tay Market and the colorful Thien Hau Pagoda in the same area.

Lunch: At Pho Hoa. Enjoy the best Vietnamese rice-noodle soup with beef ever!

After lunch: visit the sobering War Remnants Museum, the former Presidential Palace (also known as Unification Hall) and the historic French-built landmarks, including the Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, the Opera House, and Hotel de Ville to name but a few.

17.00: Your service ends at your hotel.

We look forward to guiding you!
