Trip Info

Your private tour begins with you being picked up at your hotel in Saigon and taken on a two-hour drive to Ben Tre. On arrival at Hung Vuong pier, you will board a boat that will cruise along the Ham Luong River. It will stop at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works. You will marvel at the scenes of a brick-kiln where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand. A stop at a coconut-processing workshop is where you can see how skilfully, and quick, the workers peel a coconut shell. You will also learn about the different uses of each part in a coconut. We will walk around a village and have a short stop at a local house. Here, you can see people weaving a mat by a handloom. You can even have a go at weaving yourself!

You will then ride a bike, or hop onto a motorized rickshaw, for a 15 km fun ride through the quiet and beautiful country. A stop at Mr Khanh’s house, you can see an antique pottery collection as well as feel the enthusiasm and hospitality of the people here. Then continue your journey to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch with local specialties as elephant-ear fish, river-shrimp and iced soft drink or beers.

After lunch, it’s time to relax on a rowboat along the natural canals to return to the big boat and cruise back to Hung Vuong Pier. A last stop of your tour today is Vinh Trang Pagoda, before driving back to Saigon.

We look forward to guiding you!
