Day 01: Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel for overnight stay. Upon arrival at the hotel you are received with a traditional welcome.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting important tourist sites of Old and New Delhi. Visit the Red Fort once a symbol of Mughal power, visit Jama Masjid16th century mosque and largest in India. Stroll in the markets of Chandni Chowk and experience the mixture of history with the modern world including a visit of Raj Ghat, cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi the “Father of the Nation”. Afterwards drive to Qutab Minar which is the 12th century tower and one of the tallest towers of its time, walls here consist of verses from Quran (Holy book of Islam). Wander around the complex visiting ruins of Hindu temples and palaces which once remained here and view amazing 4th century steel pillar which has still not developed rust till date. Later have a visitation at Humanyun’s Tomb – the mausoleum of the great Mughal emperor “Humayun”. Drive past to India Gate and President House. Optionally one can visit the famous light and sound show which is revealed every night in the vicinity of famous “Shahjahan’s” Red Fort. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi to Mandawa
Morning drive down to Mandawa a city located in the Shekawati region of North Rajasthan famous for Fresco paintings. Check in at hotel to relax. Later proceed to visit Havelis. These havelis are museums in themselves, numerous havelis built by the rich merchants as their residence in 18th and 19th century. Overnight stay will be at heritage hotel of Mandawa.
Day 04: Mandawa to Bikaner
After breakfast drive to Bikaner. Arrive Bikaner check in at Hotel later, proceed to visit the world-famous Camel Breeding Farms. Take an excursion tour to Deshnok to see the Temple of Karnimata – at this temple rats are held sacred & roam freely within the temple complex. Spotting a white rat in this temple is believed to by lucky. In the evening visit Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace and the Fort Museum. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 05: Bikaner to Jaisalmer
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Jaisalmer city – one of India’s most beautiful, colorful & fascinating place. Arrive at Jaisalmer and check in at your hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 06: Jaisalmer
After breakfast visit Jaisalmer fort built on the highest point of the Tricuta hill, consisting of 99 bastions and the rich and beautiful palaces and “Havelis” of Jaisalmer Sonar Kila, Patwon ki haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli and Nathmalji Ki Haveli. In the afternoon, there will be excursion tour to Sam Sand Dunes to enjoy camel safari and discover the various sights and sounds, the ruins and the temples in and around Jaisalmer in an authentic and leisurely fashion. After safari drive back to Jaisalmer for overnight stay.
Day 07: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
After breakfast leave Jaisalmer for Jodhpur. On the way enjoy the scenic beauty of the Thar Desert. Arrive Jodhpur and check in at your hotel for relaxation. Later proceed to visit Ummaid Bhawan Palace – world’s largest private residence built by then King to help his people to tide over a prolonged famine. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Jodhpur to Jaipur
After breakfast proceed to visit Meherangarh Fort – perched on a 150 m high hill, it’s the most formidable and magnificent fort in Rajasthan. Later drive to “Pink City” of India, Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur check in at your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur Hotel.
Day 09: Jaipur
Morning proceed on an excursion to Amber Fort. Climb atop the forts ramparts on an elephant back to Amber Fort. Amber Fort – Ancient capital of Kachhawaha Rajputs rulers of Jaipur, Amber guarded one of the important defiles from invading enemies. Wander inside the Fort to see extravagant Palaces to witnessing the opulence of Rajput royal lifestyle amongst which summer palace, winter palace and mirror palace etc, are the most popular. Stop at the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) while going back to Jaipur City. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace – official residence of the present royal family palace covers a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. A part of this Palace is now turned into a museum housing Armoury, Textiles and Artifacts. City Palace is delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture. Overnight stay in Jaipur hotel.
Day 10: Jaipur to Agra (enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri)
After heavy breakfast at hotel drive to “Taj City” of India en route visit Fatehpur Sikri. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 to commemorate the birth of his son and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Upon arrival in Agra check-in at your pre-booked hotel. After wards visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque and the Hall of Public and Private Audience. Visit Itmad-ud-Daula tomb, built by Noorjehan in memory of her father. Overnight stay in Agra accommodation.
Day 11: Agra to Delhi & Departure
After breakfast proceed to city sight seeing tour visit world famous Taj Mahal, built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 in memory of his loving queen Mumtaz Mahal. Later drive to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, you will be directly transferred to the airport to board flight back home or onward destination.
