Trip Info

Enjoy a day exploring the historic center of Quito with an Ecuadorian culture introduction on this walking tour. We will explore the Old Town of Quito by walking through its colonial streets and houses, taking your time for really knowing the reasons why it was declared a World Heritage Site.

Quito is proud to have religious and artistic monuments of Franciscans, Jesuits, Mercedarians, Augustinians and Dominicans, which helped to expand the art and skill of the craftsmen.

We will meet at your hotel and head to the El Panecillo for a breath-taking view of the capital. After, we will visit the Basilica Church where you can climb the stairs to enter the towers.

Another famous stop to make is the Church of St. Augustine to learn of its history and visit the Museum Miguel de Santiago. Here, you will enjoy the colonial art.

After a lunch of local traditional cuisine at a nearby restaurant, we will continue the tour. Some of the popular stops will be the Colonnade of the Palace of Government, La Compania Church, the San Francisco church and Santo Domingo Square. We will also visit the traditional neighborhood of La Ronda.
