Trip Info

The Provo River is well-known for its amazing fishing. It is divided into three sections: the Upper Provo, Middle Provo, and Lower Provo. The Upper Provo starts in the High Uintas, draining into the Jordanelle Reservoir. Middle Provo is considered the stretch between the Jordanelle Dam, through the Heber Valley, where it fills up Deer Creek Reservoir. Lower Provo starts from Deer Creek Dam through to Utah Lake. It is home to several species: Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Walleye, and White Bass just to name a few.
