Discover the vast and amazing forests of Uganda on this fantastic wildlife safari with your guide Sebastian. This 10-day primate tracking adventure will introduce you to the 13 different species Uganda plays host to.
Day one will consist of your arrival to the Entebbe International Airport, a delicious dinner at your hotel and a short briefing of the trip activities.
On day two, you’ll depart to the Kibale Forest National Park! Along the way, you will witness the plains, past tea plantations and the Mountain of the Moon. Continue on your journey by visiting the Crater Lakes region where you can enjoy swimming, boating, canoeing and staying in a deluxe safari tent.
Day three will be the start of your chimp tracking adventure. You’ll be led to the Kibale Forest, which holds the highest concentration of chimps in East Africa. Along with chimps, you may also run into red-tailed monkeys and black and white colobus monkeys. Before you head back to your tents for dinner, you’ll explore the Bigodi Swamp, which is filled with many beautiful bird species.
Days four and five will bring you to the world famous Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll have the opportunity to spot many of the areas most famous wildlife species including warthogs, buffalo, waterbucks, elephants, lions and more. Finish your days off with swimming and boating in the local waterways.
Day six will bring you to the fantastic Bwindi National Park. You’ll pass through the ishasha section of the park known for its tree-climbing lions! This area is blessed with beautiful rolling hills, green countrysides and traditional homesteads.
On the seventh day of this amazing adventure, you’ll head out into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of the giant gorillas. Local park rangers will brief you on the gorillas’ history and habits before you set out on your hike. This area is home to beautiful mountains and valleys. Once you find a family of gorillas, you can follow them for up to an hour and watch as they feed, play and clean each other.
Day eight will bring you back to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This day will consist of bird watching and searching for the elusive leopards and other nocturnal animals.
On your final day before heading out for departure, you will enjoy a peaceful nature walk with a park ranger in the Lake Mburo National Park. Later, you’ll head into Kampala to do some shopping or sightseeing.
