This tour consist of a marvelous walk around the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, once buried with the ashes of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Two hours is not enough time to see the entire city but you will be to see most of the highlights!
A walk in Pompeii is a very intense experience; you’ll experience the feeling of wandering in this ancient town. I will explain to you the history of the town and how the Romans lived, also showing you all the most important public buildings and private houses.
The Unesco Committee decided to inscribe Pompeii and Herculaneum and their associated villas in the list of World Heritage Patrimony because they provide “a complete and vivid picture of society and daily life at a specific moment in the past that is without parallel anywhere in the world.”
