This holy pilgrimage tour begins in Bucharest and continues throughout Romania over the three days.
You will meet your guide early in the morning to travel to Govora Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Romania, dating from the 14th century. We will continue to the Bistrita Monastery where the relics of St. Gregory Decapolitul stand. Admire the beautiful paintings of the church conducted by George Tattarescu. We then walk to Hurezi to an old church founded by St. Constantin Brancoveanu. We arrive in the town of Constantin Brancusi Targu Jiu, where we will see the most representative works of the great sculptor.
After breakfast, we leave for one of the most picturesque places in Romania, Jiu Valley. We will visit Lainici Monastery that houses the relics of St. Herodion and the miraculous icon of the Virgin Swift Helper. We continue our walk admiring the beautiful scenery of Jiu Valley and stop at the oldest church in which is celebrated in our time, Densus Church. We continue with Prislop Monastery in whose cemetery is the tomb Pr. Arsenie Boca and sit for worship. After, we go to Alba Iulia where we stay overnight.
In the morning, we journey into history by visiting one of the most beautiful places in Romania. Voted one of the seven wonders of our country, Alba Iulia Fortress will delight everyone. We continue our tour by visiting the Reunification Cathedral Alba Iulia before travelling to Sibiu. Here, we see the Metropolitan Cathedral Holy Trinity of Sibiu, which is home to the relics of St. Andrei Saguna. We will have a walking tour of the city visiting the Cathedral Evangelical, Roman Catholic Cathedral and the Bridge of Lies. We leave Sibiu to head to Bucharest by the Olt Valley. We will stop to visit the first and most important foundation of Mircea the Elder, Cozia Monastery. See where the King Mircea the Elder is buried and the place where the poem The Shadow of Mircea at the Monastery was written. We pass by the town of printers, Ramnicu Valcea, of Nicolae Iorga.
We arrive in Bucharest later in the day.
