Trip Info

Enjoy spectacular views and challenging steps on this trekking tour. The name of the mountain is in fact the name of the wonderful flower Dianthus Callizonus. Some have called it natural fortress of stone, surrounded by green belt of forests and modest but picturesque localities in which trueborn Romanian spirit is found everywhere. Crai proud neighbors are Iezer dolls consist of a high crown and barren peaks, sometimes exceed 2300 to 2400 meters.

Our start point is at Brasov and we will visit Dracula’s Castle. We’ll stay overnight in tent or chalet, depending on weather conditions. In the morning, we head to Moeciu to explore a bat cave before stopping for the night at Chalet Curmatura.

The third day will see us trek to Peak La Om, Piatra Craiului Ridge, Grind Shelter and Chalet Curmatura for another night. The next day, we head to Chalet Plaiul Foii. From here, we trek to Chalet Garofita Pietrei Craiului the next day.

On the sixth day, we head to Rucar for the night before heading to Cimpulung Moldovenesc, Namaiesti Monastery and stop at Cetatuia Monastery the next day. In the morning, we will travel to Corbii de Piatra Monastery before arriving at Brasov.
