Tughlaqabad fort was built by the founder of the ‘Tughlaq dynasty’, Gazi Malik in 1329. The dynasty was fierce and had a huge stretch yet was short-lived. Bunch of local stories and information associated with the Tughlaqs and their predicament makes the place interesting to roam around. Considered ‘haunted’ by local people, the long lost city is in ruins now and monkeys live where once the fierce Tughlaqs walked with pride, adding to its spookiness.
