This adventure is a five day tour. A great option for travelers who want to have a more immersive experience of Morocco. Enjoy carefully selected meal and resting arrangements that the guides have relied on for their customer’s satisfaction for many years.
Starting in Ouarzazate on the morning of the first day, travelers are transported in a 4×4 to the Dades Gorges and Todra Gorges. From here, our route takes us through Kela’a M’gouna, the Valley of Roses, where we stop to have a berber tea. Later, we drive off-road along the road of a thousand kasbahs to the Dades Gorges for lunch. After lunch, there is time for a walk alongside the Boumalne Dades Valley, before continuing to the Todra Gorges for the night in a guest house.
After breakfast, we go off-road sightseeing to N’Qob. We pass the Tizi-n-Tazzazert mountain in the Saghro mountain range to the village of N’Qob for lunch. From here, our route takes us to the Draa Valley at Tansikht in the afternoon. We continue south until we reach Zagora. Here, the dunes of Nekhla await for a camel ride. We will have dinner and the night in a bivouac of nomad tents.
The next morning, the return to Zagora is on camel back before driving south to the village of M’hamid for lunch. In the afternoon, we make our way across the desert to the Erg Chagaga. These dunes are 300m high and 45km long and are the largest in Morocco. These dunes give a wonderful view of the setting sun before returning to the campsite for dinner and a night’s rest.
After breakfast, the road crosses off-road driving in the Sahara desert. We pass Lake Iriqui and the mountains, as well as fossils, for enthusiasts. The first village beyond the desert, Foum Zguid, is the place for lunch. The return to the Draa Valley takes us through Taznakht, famous for its carpet shops. We venture to Agdez for dinner and the night in the oldest local kasbah, “Kasbah of Tamnougalte.”
On our last day, after breakfast, there will be a sightseeing visit to the Kasbah itself before returning to Ouarzazate. Once there, we visit the kasbah of Tifoultoute, originally the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech. Afterwards, an unpaved track to the oasis of Fint nestling among the mountains provides a hidden delight. After lunch, we visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The return to Ouarzazate will complete the trip at the end of the afternoon.
