Foodies will love this one-day food tour as you are guided through the city, sampling barbecue from well-known barbecue establishments and hidden gem barbecue joints. You will be visiting different barbecue restaurants in the Kansas City area. From brisket to burnt ends, every guest will enjoy a portion of each restaurants best smoked meats and side dishes.
As our most popular tour, the four-hour journey gives passengers not only several plates of food but also a dose of Kansas City history with scenes of famous landmarks. You will see Union Station and the World War I Memorial along the route. The tour starts with a little jazz and a lot of history.
Two of the four stops are Arthur Bryant’s at 1727 Brooklyn Ave and Gates Bar-B-Q at 1221 Brooklyn Ave. These eateries have been long-time rivals and both are world famous. The other two food stops are of a smaller scale but kept secret, as they are the hidden gems to be discovered on the tour.
At each stop, you will be treated to at least one meat, sides and water as your guide explains the significance of that particular barbecue restaurant. After eating, enjoy the atmosphere and explore the place as you learn about the cooking techniques and food.
