Trip Info

The Orca Camp Tour is a 4 day/3 night whale watching camp, in Johnstone Strait.   Boasting over 230 resident Orcas that travel up and down the Strait between the months of July and September, Johnnstone Strait is one of the premier places in the world to view whales in their natural habitat.  Other wildlife include but are not limited to: humpback whales, dolphins, sea lions and bald eagles.

This is a trip for everyone, which will rejuvenate you and connect you with the wilderness of British Columbia.  You will be put up in a luxurious tent, cooked three hot meals a day, and guided by professional kayak guides who have a combined 25 years experience.  We even make it easy for you!  We provide all the gear.  No cooking, no cleaning, no packing.  Let us do all the heavy lifting!

Our base camp is a very comfortable.  We give you the opportunity to unplug from the rest of the world for some overdue relaxation.  With no street access or cell phone reception, this remote and eco-friendly camp is a must-do for any traveler visiting British Columbia.

This all-inclusive tour will begin with a ride from Campbell River into the surrounding Johnstone Strait.  You will find yourself in the wilderness of the beautiful British Columbia rainforest.  From this base camp we will take you out to see the Orca’s before returning to the camp where you will be kept warm by the campfire deep into the night.
