Trip Info

Step back into time to learn of the background of the Emerald Island on this heritage tour. You will visit several attractions that have influenced the history pf the country. The people that came to this land in the beginning decided to stay. There are more than 120,000 historical sites that have stories to tell.

Visit the standing stones of Carrowmore. Arranged in a circle, it is one of the largest complexes of megalithic tombs in Ireland. It is also one of the oldest tombs used as passage markings from 3700 B.C. You will also enjoy seeing the dolmen of Poulnabrone, a tomb dating back to the era of 4200 B.C. and 2900 B.C.

A tour like this cannot be completed without a stop at Newgrange. About 97 large kerbstones surround the large circular mound. It has a stone passageway with chambers inside. The prehistoric monument is older than the Egyptian pyramids.
