Trip Info
The Omaha Highlights tour is a morning tour starting in Bayeux, the first city of the Battle of Normandy to be liberated. In 1944, General Charles de Gaulle made the first of two major speeches in which he made clear that France sided with the Allies. Bayeux was virtually untouched during the war, and has become a major tourist attraction. It is best known for the Bayeux tapestry, made to commemorate the events in the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. Hear legends and facts about this area during your tour with your knowledgeable and passionate tour guide.
